Olympics in Beijing 2008

2008 was the much awaited year in the country China, as this was the year when china is going to host the Olympics.

But the sudden disruptions in Tibet, has started to prove an obstruction to its path of fame and profits, which china was expecting as an after effects of games.

The monks got united once again and rallied through the city Lhasa, for one cause - Freedom, but what they did not know, that their peaceful march through the streets would end in a political chaos.

China's official telling their own version of events what happened and blaming Tibetans spiritual leader Dalai Lama, and the Tibetans also having their own account of events. Both parties blaming each other and exaggerating the actions committed by the other, making it more difficult to know what had actually happened.

But what surprises me is that suddenly human rights organisations got awakened and jumped for the rescue of Tibetans, and opposing the Olympics to be held in Beijing. Do they genuinely want to help Tibet, or its just some jealousy which got aroused when china got to host Olympics 2008, or the foreign nations have started fearing the growing economy of china, and the popularity that china will gain in the international market.

Actually, world has seen (or should i say at least i have seen) enough of politics, and its high time to keep sports out of the politics, and observe good sportsmanship and stop protesting the Olympics and disrupting the torch relay ceremony.

The decision of various athletes and celebrities should be respected for bearing the torch.
People should learn from the physically challenged female athlete torch bearer Jin Jing, who carried the torch through the Paris, with a determination that she will not let go the torch and protect it.
